"DHARMIK CERTIFIED" for Sattvik Food Like “Halal Certified” exists
Halal meat is forbidden in Hinduism and Sikhism. Both Sikh and Medieval Hindu scriptures prohibit it.
“Halal causes great suffering to the animals, cruelly bleeding them to death. Should not be made the acceptable form of providing meat. Also raises commercial conflicts of interest. Should not be made mandatory to all communities.” David Frawley
Any restaurant in India which has to get the "halal certified" tag needs to abide by halal rules.
First rule: Slaughterer has to be Muslim. Why? Because, the touch of non Muslim kafir (infidel) is impure and ineligible. Halal is not permitted from Non Muslims. This is part of the standard Halal certification norms followed all over India.
The Halal industry is worth around $750 Billion (~55 Lakh Crores. Almost 1/3rd of India's GDP). BOYCOTT ANIMAL CRUELTY. Avoid meat altogether, if you can. It's the compassionate thing to do :)
