There is NO collaboration between DAMROO and Lord Shiva Hindu Temples in Amsterdam with regards to the New Temple Project since September 2024. It's been removed from their website. If you have made donations to them for the New Temple Project, then DAMROO, who has taken over the project, has not received it. Damroo Foundation International in Almere Centrum, Netherlands, is dedicated to promoting understanding, mutual respect, and appreciation of Hindu culture and traditions among the residents worldwide. Through educational initiatives, community events, and advocacy efforts, we aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for Hindu individuals in the region.

Our vision is to build a strong and vibrant community of Hindu residents worldwide, where cultural diversity is celebrated, and all individuals are respected and valued. We strive to preserve and promote Hindu heritage, traditions, and values while fostering a sense of unity and solidarity among community members.

Goals:

1. Promote understanding of Hinduism: The Damroo Foundation seeks to dispel stereotypes, misconceptions, and misinformation about Hinduism through educational programs, cultural events, and community outreach efforts

2. Foster a sense of community: We aim to create a supportive and inclusive community for Hindu residents in the Netherlands providing opportunities for cultural exchange, social interaction, and mutual support.

3. Advocate for the rights of Hindu individuals: Damroo Foundation International advocates for the rights and well-being of Hindu individuals globally, working to combat discrimination, promote equal opportunities, and ensure that all community members are treated with dignity and respect.

Damroo Foundation International organises a variety of Hindu religious and cultural activities, including traditional rituals, festivals, and events that celebrate Hindu heritage. We also engage with different communities through interfaith programs to promote dialogue and understanding among diverse groups.

Additionally, we provide educational programs to preserve and promote Sanskrit as the mother of language to children and interested individuals, fostering an appreciation for this ancient language and its significance in Hindu culture.

Furthermore, Damroo Foundation International offers yoga sessions, dance classes, singing classes, and creative workshops to the broader community in the Netherlands, promoting holistic well-being, artistic expression, and cultural exchange among participants of all backgrounds. Through these activities, we aim to enrich the cultural fabric of Almere and strengthen bonds of unity within the community.
